What is Syndication and How Do I Do It?

SyndicationYes, many people are confused in this marketing strategy for their blog: syndication and how do to do it effectively. I will be going through what syndication is and how you can apply the strategy for free. There are paid strategies and ways to maximize this strategy for long term success. Those strategies will be covered in other updated posts.

So what is Syndication?

Syndication is simply a strategy to let the world know about your content. To understand this strategy you also need to know what a backlink is and we will explore ways to to create backlinks in a systemized manner.

What is a backlink?

A backlink is simply a link back to a page from another. You create links back to one of your pages on your site from another location on the internet. For example. You post on Better Networker and create a link in your post to go back to your blog to read more.

Why do I need to Syndicate?

If you do not link your site to other sites, they are just sitting on an island. Google give you more vote for more links you have going into your site. When you create more backlinks, you get more top ranks which equals more traffic.
Doesn’t all business need traffic?

So what is best? Good Links versus lots of links? No matter what, you have to have a plan. Have the core concepts of how google ranks “pages” not “sites.” Not all backlinks are create equals, some may have a high page rank (PR) and that backlink is more valuable.

When you are focused on synicating, make sure you follow these rules to get the most out of syndication:

1. Target one main keyword per page. Use this free search triggers tool for help to optimize.
2. Use some variations of the keyword.
3. It takes time to “kick-in.”

Remember, google is always changing their algorithm, so guessing what works really takes testing and tracking.

Here is a manual backlinking method that you can apply today for free.

1. Submit your content to article directories.
2. Add your content in signatures of forums, keyword focused for content. Forums like Better Networker, or relevant to content.
3. Submit your content to Web 2.0 sites like: Hubpage, Zimbro, Wikispaces, wetpaint, etc.
