How To Adjust Your Content Marketing Since The Penguin Update

When you are focused on getting your content sites listed in Google. Understanding their algorithm and staying on top can be tricky. Here are a few tips I learned from Rob Fore in his training to help get sites back on the search engines that have been effected from the Penguin updates.

The Penguin update adjusted for keyword stuffing and backlink anchors.  This fixes the text over optimization.

Now you only use 50% of your keyword, and then you link using another word.  You many use this strategy when you spin your content, or post your content in several places.  Use your keyword 5 times, then use others like this example.

Using this strategy will help you get a lot of quality backlinks and is still critical to rank high in the search engines.

You still need more backlinks than competition. Article marketing for backlinks is still a primary method.  No one does it naturally unless you are a superstar. So you have to use some of the tools to boost the natural rankings.

You can have too many links from low-quality sites.
