Avon World Tour Insights

Share your beliefs, the Avon World Tour gave insights in the Avon vision when it began in 1886 and to the present, 125 years later, and into the future.

On Wednesday, January 19, 2011 I was able to attend the Avon World Tour Event at the Fort Worth Convention Center. Avon celebrated women for 125 years of community, opportunity and financial freedom. In 1886 David H. McConnell began the the launch of the California Perfume Company and thus began Avon’s rich heritage of empowering women. In attendance was Andrea Jung, Chief Executive Officer, Eduardo Ribeiro, Vice President of Direct Selling, Kanwar Bhutani, Region Sales leader of U.S. South, Bob Briddon, Vice President of North America Marketing. Special Guests in attendance was Suze Orman, Judith Hill, recording artist, Jeannie Mai, fashion expert, and Donna Reid-Mitchell, Sr. Executive Unit Leader President’s Club.

The celebration began with a tribute to America sung by Judith Hill which lead the crowd in excitement to introduce Andrea Jung as she describes the 5 core values Avon represents, trust, respect, belief, humility, and integrity. Out of these core values brought the them for the world tour, Believe. David H. McConnell’s quotes was shared as the history of Avon was presented. It was through his quotes that the crowd understood the belief that David H. McConnell built his business around. For example, “If you push ahead entergetically, confident of your success to reach the goal for which you are striving, there will be no question of your winning out.”

Suze Orman also reached out to Avon representatives and spoke how many changes the Avon Foundation has stuck to what they represent. Showing their commitment to Breast Cancer, Domestic Violence, Disaster Relief, and Environmental stewardship in saving the rainforest, all has made strives this century.

I truly enjoyed the the event and learned on how Avon is there to help you build your business and achieve what you believe is possible.
