7 Tips For Video Marketing Success

Take these 7 tips for video marketing success and apply take action to take your business to the next level.

1. Keep it simple! If someone gave you $1,000 for every video you made, would you do it? Even if it wasn’t perfect? If yes, then what are you doing? Why are you not making videos today.

Use the 3 try rule. If you can’t make a video in 3 tries, go do something else and try later. Keep that mindset, what would I pay for this video?

2. Key to videos is the audio. 80% of a great video is in the audio. So don’t worry about making it look fancy or perfect, just make sure that they can hear you.

3. It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it. There is nothing worse about a video that is boring. Be excited about what you are talking about in your niche. Have inflection in your voice. Not too much, because if it is too overdone, it’s sounds like bad hype. That kills the video. Remember to be authentic, and just be yourself.

4. Create a game plan. Do your brainstorming and make a plan of all the kinds of videos you would like to create. Create a keyword list for each topic and start cranking out the videos. To take massive action, commit to do 1 to 5 videos a day for 30 days or more. Remember that commitment is not a feeling, so plan your work, and work your plan. At the end of the 30 days, you should have a minimum of 150 videos.

5. Get your videos ranked. Embed your videos on your blog. You can also use automated software to distribute your videos on other video sharing channels than just youtube. Tools like tubemogul or traffic geyser really help automate this task on a massive level. TribePro also helps sharing since people can comment, like and rate them in one place and automatically syndicate and share your content without even logging in to us the tool.

6. Build a Fan Base, not a list. Remember what a fan is, a person with intense, overwhelming like and enthusiasm for sport club, person, group of people, product, activity, art, or idea and trend. Fans follow you anywhere, buy anything that you recommend or create. They will rave about you to others expecting no compensation or anything in return.

So, how do you build a fan base? Give what you want to get. Create powerful videos that give people what they want.

7. Consistency is KING! You can’t just create one video and expect results. Go back to #4 with your game plan. If you have emotions in your business, you just found the death in your business. You can not act with that emotional mindset. Always ask yourself, what’s missing that could make a difference in my video?

Make a list of the top 5 things that you have been avoiding to do (that you know will make you money) and pick the #1 thing and simply just do it!

Don’t start or do anything else and focus on nothing, but do that task until it’s completed. What would it be with if it got done?

Ask, what’s missing and how can I improve my video?

Remember your call to action! Create a big enough why to take action on these 7 steps.

  2. Hi Alecia,

Very valuable info. Videos can to be hard to do at times, because of the boring/ or non natural feel of them…but they are worth a try to perfect just for the fact that many people would rather watch a video than read a story. I guess it’s more of an interaction type feel. Great post here.

Yes, like a picture is like a 1000 words. Way more than a text story. You know how many words there are in the blog post… Video just multiplies it! Thanks for your insights.
